Sara Sheffey is a dedicated and driven law clerk at A.E. Gomez, P.C., currently pursuing her Juris Doctorate at Lincoln Memorial University – Duncan School of Law. With nearly six years of hands-on paralegal experience, Sara brings a deep understanding of legal procedures, client service, and case preparation to every matter she supports.


Sara began her legal journey by earning an Associate’s Degree in Paralegal Sciences from Horry Georgetown Technical College in 2019. She later completed her Bachelor’s Degree in English Literature at Southern New Hampshire University, honing the analytical thinking and communication skills that continue to serve a vital role in her aspirational career as an attorney.

Since 2021, Sara has been an integral part of A.E. Gomez, P.C., originally serving as a paralegal before being invited to return as a law clerk—a role that reflects both her dedication and the high regard in which she is held by the firm. Working under the direct supervision of Stacy D. Gomez, Esq. and Alex E. Gomez, Esq., Sara is honored to contribute to a practice that values both legal excellence and community service.


A native of Wythe County, Virginia, Sara is passionate about giving back to the community that shaped her. She is thrilled to be working alongside a team that shares her commitment to helping clients navigate a wide variety of legal matters with care, integrity, and respect. Outside of her legal pursuits, Sara enjoys golfing, pleasure reading and spending time with her two beloved cats, Tuna-Buddy and Honey-Girl, who keep life interesting and full of personality.
